What is nirvikalpa

There are different stages in the evolution of the human awareness.

The stage where most human beings are is the stage where we identify ourselves with the mind and the body. In this stage we try to control and act on ourselves and on the world thinking that we are the doers of our actions. We are not able to realize that there is an all-pervading energy all around us that is doing everything. In this situation we suffer when we don't achieve what we expect and we worry and feel fear if we don't get what we think we need. This is a very limited stage where the mind has taken over our being and all the time is producing different kinds of thoughts to make us act according to that.

In modern times there is another stage that we call self-realisation in which we achieve the awakening of our spiritual energy "Kundalini", through which we start experiencing the next stage of evolution that is called nirvichara Samadhi or thoughtless awareness. In this stage we get the experience of being without any thoughts and then we start realising that we are not the mind. But still in this stage this realisation is not complete and sometimes we identify ourselves again with our mind and conditioning so that the suffering still remain. Because of that in this stage we can go down again to the previous stage.

What is  actually happening in the subtle system is that in this new stage the Kundalini has started moving in the central channel (sushumna nadi) through which we get the experience of our real being. But as this channel is still not purify and is very narrow, our Kundalini again go back to the left and right channels that are wider and then again the mind and the conditioning take over our being. Then again we suffer, worry and feel fear.

Once nirvichara Samadhi is settled down and the central channel is purify and made wider, we start the next stage of the human evolution which is called nirvikalpa Samadhi or doubtless awareness. In this stage the energy Kundalini is flowing continuously and steadily in the central channel giving us the new experience of continuous joy and peace. At that point the sufferings are finish once for ever. Then we achieve a new experience in the meditation where every single meditation becomes very deep in the sense that in every meditation we are able to achieve a deep state of thoughtless awareness and the feeling of joy becomes very intense.

The meditation we do at that point has very strong results as we are finally able to reach the depth of our soul. Then whenever we fix the attention in any chakra that chakra gets purified and we achieve the subtle knowledge of that chakra, which is beyond words but more like a feeling of divine love and reverence. What a wonderful experience!

This could be the reason why in our Mother's talk of Gauri Puja 1991 in Australia (See and extract of that video here) She mentioned that the sahaja yogis aren't getting the deep experiences of the olden yogis because they don't meditate. I was wondering why Mother was saying that we are not meditating when we were doing for 10, 20 or even more years. But yes the question is that we weren't reaching that state of deep meditation where everything works out in a different manner. In that deep meditation one single minute could be more efficient than months of superficial meditation in the previous state. Because of that in every meditation one is able to achieve a new jewellery to decorate the divine temple that is the soul. Then this jewellery is shining eternally showing the beauty of the divine spirit inside the soul.

This is another aspect of this marvellous state. In this state when we achieve some experience, this remains eternally with us, always in our awareness and in every cell of our being. This means that every experience that we get in the meditation changes us forever. In the previous stage we used to achieve a nice experience in the meditation but after sometime we just lost it and forget about it.This won't happen in the stage of nirvikalpa Samadhi.

But it is important to understand that every stage, either it is nirvichara, nirvikalpa or the last stage of God's realization, these are happening in a very smooth and progressive way like everything that happens in the nature. Actually the last part of a state is mixing with the beginning of the next stage so that when we are settling down properly in nirvichara, the beginning of nirvikalpa starts and when nirvikalpa is settled down the God's realisation state is starting.

All this despite the fact there is a big jump between nirvikalpa and the previous stages. After all this is just the starting of the real spirituality and the end of the limitations and suffering. That is the reason by which many yogis believe that this stage is far away from us. We have tried and tried, meditated and meditated but we weren't able to achieve the permanent and eternal joy and peace.

This stage is real, is achievable and is just one jump towards our real goal. But it is important to understand that to make that jump you need the help of someone who is at that stage. This is how the spiritual growth has always worked. See this video of Mother were she explain about it.  This is what a sahaja yogi has to achieve and share. This is our real goal.

But the real question is:  Are we ready to accept that help?  Are we hankering for that help? Can we be humble enough to get it? Are we ready to accept the Divinity inside the humanity? Will we be able to accept that another sahaja yogi has reached that state? Or are we going to try to destroy them as other religions have done before?

No criticism can be positive. They always promote hatred and negative feelings instead of the enlightenment of the soul to see the Divinity in others. Mother has said it more than a thousand times, have we got that message of her?

We have one instrument that other generations didn't have VIBRATIONSThe vibrations will guide us towards that help and Our Divine Mother will surely provide the help needed. The vibrations don't lie. In the Sahasrara puja 86 in Alpe Motta she mentioned it:  "Now, for example, you take somebody's name, say of some great saint. You feel the vibrations are flowing. Also you know why - because he is a saint. But why not you the Sahaja Yogis? If your names are taken, why don't the vibrations flow? And in this you have greater advantages because the Adi Shakti, Herself, is before you. They didn't have anybody to tell them all these things. But the disadvantage of that is this: that you take it for granted".You can see the video here.

Anyhow there is no fix rule to the growth in spirituality and someone may not need that help. It would be great if that is our case? But don't condemn others for that. Let the Divinity spread all around and don't be afraid if others are feeling something different from you. It's just the love, love and only love...
