The begining of Nirvikalpa

There is one day that is very different from all the previous days you have lived before. That magical day you start your new Divine life in the state of nirvikalpa. That day your meditation is very deep and intense, and your body gets filled with eternal joy and peace.

Then you start your first day in your new life and to your surprise you experience that during all day you feel the same experience of joy and peace. Even if you have to face any difficulty in your worldly life still the joy remains with the same purity. Then you realize that something has changed inside yourself. Now you are something different from before. Now the worldly problems are not touching your souls. You are far away in the realm of divine love.

Then in the night you go to bed and just before entering into the bed you feel the Divine Goddess Kundalini vibrating in your Brahmarandra, as it has been during all day, and the waves of joy vibrate all your body. May be at that point you may think, what a wonderful day I had! But then the next day is just the same and every day is just the same. The joy becomes eternal, the peace untouchable.

In the beginning of Nirvikalpa you may still get some catches from the outside and at that point the flow of Divinity in the central channel may be interrupted. Then the experience of joy and peace disappear during sometime and though you have already entered into the next stage of evolution you may think that you have to go again to the suffering and worries. But actually that's not the case. You are already in the stage of purity and you only need to go back to the meditation to allow the Divinity inside yourself to remove that unbalance and then again the flow in the central channel will take you back to your new reality. At this point the meditation should become the most important thing for us. Whenever we get any unbalance or catch from outside we have to keep the meditation till that catch is removed. You will be surprised how your meditation works now and how you can get clear easily. But we have to keep always in mind that the clearance is done by the Divinity itself so we have to just focus our attention in the chakra which is catching and allow the Divinity to work it out. This process may take from ten minutes to two or more hours, but once it has worked, we will be able to settle down in our new state and enjoy throughout the whole day. If you are able to do that your Kundalini will be vibrating 24 hours a day in your Sahasrara and you will be growing and going deeper 24X7. Then you will reach a point where you don't get the catches and the joy is never disturbed.

Meditation of the atention

Here we have a meditation where we work on the liver to improve the attention and we integrate the attention with the heart and the brain.  Hope you'll enjoy it.

Getting ready for nirvikalpa state

The state of Nirvikalpa is the evolution of the human awareness to a new state of balance and divinity. This is a living process of evolution and as every living process it happens spontaneously without any deliberate effort. This is something that has to happen to us, something that is going to be bestowed upon us, and not something that we have to achieve with our personal efforts.  This is the reason why even if we have tried and tried during many years of meditation and introspection we haven't been able to achieve that state.

But despite this important fact we have to do something to get ready for that change in our awareness.

The most important thing is our desire. To achieve this state we have to have an ardent desire to evolve to that state. That means that this should be the main issue in our life. We can keep our daily duties but the main thing for us should be this ascent. If that is so we are almost ready to achieve that state and if we do a proper meditation and proper behavior we'll get ready to receive this invaluable gift.

To change our state of awareness we have to behave and lead a life that is of the same vibrational level as the state that we aim to achieve. Even though we are not yet in that state we have to understand it and follow the rules of that state to get ready for it.

The state of nirvikalpa is the state of doubtless awareness. That means that we have to leave all the doubts about ourselves and about the divinity of the world. All around there is an energy that is doing all the living process and even without having reached the full experience of that fact we have to develop the enlightened faith so that we get ready for that experience in our meditation and in our daily life.

The next and basic issue is the meditation. We have to achieve the state of deep meditation that we experience when the central channel, sushumna nadi, expands. Then the meditation achieves the state of Samadhi where it becomes very effective and powerful. But even if you are not able to achieve the state of deep meditation do your best to concentrate on your pure desire to rise and do the meditation very sincerely understanding that this is something that is going to be bestowed upon you.

It may happen at any time but you have to be ready and ask for that. Just surrender fully and let it happen.

Meditation, expanding the sushumna nadi

Here we offer this simple meditation that focus on the expansion of the central channel, or the sushumna nadi, through which we can go into a deep meditative state.

How you will enjoy it.

What is nirvikalpa

There are different stages in the evolution of the human awareness.

The stage where most human beings are is the stage where we identify ourselves with the mind and the body. In this stage we try to control and act on ourselves and on the world thinking that we are the doers of our actions. We are not able to realize that there is an all-pervading energy all around us that is doing everything. In this situation we suffer when we don't achieve what we expect and we worry and feel fear if we don't get what we think we need. This is a very limited stage where the mind has taken over our being and all the time is producing different kinds of thoughts to make us act according to that.

In modern times there is another stage that we call self-realisation in which we achieve the awakening of our spiritual energy "Kundalini", through which we start experiencing the next stage of evolution that is called nirvichara Samadhi or thoughtless awareness. In this stage we get the experience of being without any thoughts and then we start realising that we are not the mind. But still in this stage this realisation is not complete and sometimes we identify ourselves again with our mind and conditioning so that the suffering still remain. Because of that in this stage we can go down again to the previous stage.

What is  actually happening in the subtle system is that in this new stage the Kundalini has started moving in the central channel (sushumna nadi) through which we get the experience of our real being. But as this channel is still not purify and is very narrow, our Kundalini again go back to the left and right channels that are wider and then again the mind and the conditioning take over our being. Then again we suffer, worry and feel fear.

Once nirvichara Samadhi is settled down and the central channel is purify and made wider, we start the next stage of the human evolution which is called nirvikalpa Samadhi or doubtless awareness. In this stage the energy Kundalini is flowing continuously and steadily in the central channel giving us the new experience of continuous joy and peace. At that point the sufferings are finish once for ever. Then we achieve a new experience in the meditation where every single meditation becomes very deep in the sense that in every meditation we are able to achieve a deep state of thoughtless awareness and the feeling of joy becomes very intense.

The meditation we do at that point has very strong results as we are finally able to reach the depth of our soul. Then whenever we fix the attention in any chakra that chakra gets purified and we achieve the subtle knowledge of that chakra, which is beyond words but more like a feeling of divine love and reverence. What a wonderful experience!

This could be the reason why in our Mother's talk of Gauri Puja 1991 in Australia (See and extract of that video here) She mentioned that the sahaja yogis aren't getting the deep experiences of the olden yogis because they don't meditate. I was wondering why Mother was saying that we are not meditating when we were doing for 10, 20 or even more years. But yes the question is that we weren't reaching that state of deep meditation where everything works out in a different manner. In that deep meditation one single minute could be more efficient than months of superficial meditation in the previous state. Because of that in every meditation one is able to achieve a new jewellery to decorate the divine temple that is the soul. Then this jewellery is shining eternally showing the beauty of the divine spirit inside the soul.

This is another aspect of this marvellous state. In this state when we achieve some experience, this remains eternally with us, always in our awareness and in every cell of our being. This means that every experience that we get in the meditation changes us forever. In the previous stage we used to achieve a nice experience in the meditation but after sometime we just lost it and forget about it.This won't happen in the stage of nirvikalpa Samadhi.

But it is important to understand that every stage, either it is nirvichara, nirvikalpa or the last stage of God's realization, these are happening in a very smooth and progressive way like everything that happens in the nature. Actually the last part of a state is mixing with the beginning of the next stage so that when we are settling down properly in nirvichara, the beginning of nirvikalpa starts and when nirvikalpa is settled down the God's realisation state is starting.

All this despite the fact there is a big jump between nirvikalpa and the previous stages. After all this is just the starting of the real spirituality and the end of the limitations and suffering. That is the reason by which many yogis believe that this stage is far away from us. We have tried and tried, meditated and meditated but we weren't able to achieve the permanent and eternal joy and peace.

This stage is real, is achievable and is just one jump towards our real goal. But it is important to understand that to make that jump you need the help of someone who is at that stage. This is how the spiritual growth has always worked. See this video of Mother were she explain about it.  This is what a sahaja yogi has to achieve and share. This is our real goal.

But the real question is:  Are we ready to accept that help?  Are we hankering for that help? Can we be humble enough to get it? Are we ready to accept the Divinity inside the humanity? Will we be able to accept that another sahaja yogi has reached that state? Or are we going to try to destroy them as other religions have done before?

No criticism can be positive. They always promote hatred and negative feelings instead of the enlightenment of the soul to see the Divinity in others. Mother has said it more than a thousand times, have we got that message of her?

We have one instrument that other generations didn't have VIBRATIONSThe vibrations will guide us towards that help and Our Divine Mother will surely provide the help needed. The vibrations don't lie. In the Sahasrara puja 86 in Alpe Motta she mentioned it:  "Now, for example, you take somebody's name, say of some great saint. You feel the vibrations are flowing. Also you know why - because he is a saint. But why not you the Sahaja Yogis? If your names are taken, why don't the vibrations flow? And in this you have greater advantages because the Adi Shakti, Herself, is before you. They didn't have anybody to tell them all these things. But the disadvantage of that is this: that you take it for granted".You can see the video here.

Anyhow there is no fix rule to the growth in spirituality and someone may not need that help. It would be great if that is our case? But don't condemn others for that. Let the Divinity spread all around and don't be afraid if others are feeling something different from you. It's just the love, love and only love...

Meditation of shankaracharya Tad Nishkala

Sahaja Yoga is an experience, not just a theory. That's why we think that the best way to start this blog is by offering you a meditation through which you can start experiencing this wonderful spiritual state of peace and joy.  Just let it flow. Don't make any effort, nor any exercise, just follow the meditation and allow your spirit to manifest and fill you completely.

With love

Yogi sahaj.
